چکیده

Agricultural drought is nothing but the decline in productivity of crops due to irregularities rainfall as well decrease soil moisture, which turn affects economy nation. As Indian agriculture largely dependent on Monsoon, a slight change it production crop yield drastically. The agricultural monitoring, assessment management can be done more accurately with help geospatial techniques like Remote Sensing. In present study estimated vadodara district. purpose analyze vegetation stress Vadodara district calculation NDVI, NDWI, MNDWI, WRI, NDBI and NDSI indices values. results NDVI values shows fields susceptible drought. Similarly, decreasing trend was observed NDWI index 22.12% 19.3% from 2013 2018.The builtup (NDBI) increasing by 1.85% last 5 years. Water ratio also showing area 22.35% 14.29%. intercomparisions all other data provides very useful information for monitoring early warning system farmers. findings this research will interest local authorities, plantation meteorology departments understand drier areas state evaluate water deficits severity cloud seeding points during

Evaluation of remote sensing indicators in drought monitoring using machine learning algorithms (Case study: Marivan city)

Remote sensing indices are used to analyze the Spatio-temporal distribution of drought conditions and to identify the severity of drought. This study, using various drought indices generated from Madis and TRMM satellite data extracted from Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. Drought conditions in Marivan city from February to November for the years 2001 to 2017 were analyzed based on spatial a...

Snow Cover Monitoring from Remote-Sensing Satellites:Possibilities for Drought Assessment

15.1 INTRODUCTION Snow cover is an important earth surface characteristic because it influences partitioning of the surface radiation, energy, and hydrologic budgets. Snow is also an important source of moisture for agricultural crops and water supply in many higher latitude or mountainous areas. For instance, snowmelt provides approximately
